Reliance Jio, India’s largest telecom operator, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with blockchain technology leader Polygon Labs, marking a significant milestone in bringing Web3 capabilities to millions of Indian consumers.
The strategic collaboration will enable Jio Platforms, the digital arm of Reliance Industries (RIL), to integrate Polygon’s advanced blockchain solutions across its extensive network serving over 450 million customers.
Aishwary Gupta, Global Head of Payments at Polygon Labs, revealed that Reliance will leverage Polygon’s robust infrastructure to develop and deploy Web3-powered applications. “This partnership allows Reliance to build applications running on Polygon as a backend, enabling their massive user base to seamlessly access blockchain technology,” Gupta explained.
