LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has unveiled an ambitious plan to redesign and remodel 12 major traffic intersections across the city at an estimated cost of ₹7.39 crore. The project aims to address persistent traffic congestion issues plaguing the Uttar Pradesh capital.

  2. Piccadilly
  3. Powerhouse
  4. Krishna Nagar
  5. Alambagh
  6. Narora
  7. Sarvodaya Nagar
  8. Daliganj
  9. Koneshwar
  10. IIM Road Green Corridor
  11. Eveready
  12. Mawaiyya

Notable Features

  • Daliganj intersection will receive the highest budget allocation
  • Madhurima intersection will get a new island to manage increased traffic from the Vibhuti Khand railway station
  • Daliganj rotary will be re-engineered to facilitate U-turns from both directions

According to LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar, the redesign will incorporate safety measures in compliance with Indian Road Congress (IRC) standards. The majority of the remodeling work will be conducted during nighttime to minimize traffic disruption.
